Cute churches & scenic cemeteries, NZ

While I mostly travel through Aotearoa New Zealand for hiking opportunities, I like to break up long drives with visits to churches, cemeteries, and war memorials (even tiny settlements have them).

North Island (Te Ika-a-Māui)

Here is a video tour of St. Faith’s.

South Island (Te Waipounamu)

If you visit rural cemeteries, make sure to shut the gates. Otherwise sheep may get in. Drybread Cemetery had plenty of evidence of sheep infiltration. (It is entirely surrounded by pasture.)
